Our mission: working together on a better digital government

It is our conviction that ICT can help governments in the Netherlands move forward with social issues.

We have been working on digitization issues in government for more than 23 years. For example, we were at the cradle of DigiD and the BSN number.

How we work

ICTU is by and for the government. We help government organizations in the Netherlands with a variety of challenges related to digitization. With an eye for the balance between technology and usability, and between innovation and pragmatic solutions. This is how we work together on a better digital government.

What we do

We are an impartial project organization within the government. Our services consist of the realization of projects and programs, giving advice, and development of custom made software solutions. Driven by quality, with a heart for the public task, not for profit.

Who we work for

ICTU works on behalf of all governments in the Netherlands. We support governments in achieving their objectives and in seeking cooperation. Our assignments can be found in a number of domains such as Healthcare, Justice and Security, Social and Education, Public Administration and Services.

  • ICTU Characteristics

    ICTU is a government foundation. We work on behalf of and together with governments. As a flexible project organization, and not for profit. For governments, an assignment to ICTU counts as insourcing.

  • Management & Governance

    All levels of government are represented in the Meeting of Affiliated Government Organisations and in the Supervisory Board of ICTU, with meetings taking place at regular intervals. ICTU's management team meets with the board every two weeks.

  • ICTU Services

    ICTU has a wide variety of assignments. We work for our clients on a variety of digitization issues, in different domains, with a tailor-made approach and custom services. (Information available in Dutch language.)
